What a project!! The existing kitchen was a good size but it just didnt work as hard as it should. The sink was tucked in the corner, probably due to fit with the plumbing. It felt a little disjointed and in need of some modernisation.
Now with any kitchen, i always plan the space to the work for the clients and not to work for the existing services. This was one of these projects that needed major plumbing to move the sink to the opposite side of the room. However by doing this the space now works well and everything has its own area.
The bank of tall units house most of the appliances and look sleek and contemporary. The island houses the venting hob and is the area where all the cooking and prep will be done. The sink now has a proper space surrounded by the wet appliances. I even had space to design a bar area and bay window seat with storage 🙂
Its not only the design that makes this project work so well. The colours and materials really blend well. Silky soft white matt lacquer doors with petrol blue accents look fresh, modern and contemporary. Then adding oak breakfast bar, bench seating, upstands and shelves provide texture and design. Finally the grey mirror and the marble XTone worktop adds a real statement and compliments the handleless kitchen perfectly.
This is one of my favourite designs of the year and a great example of a fully renovated project managed from design to installation.

We offer a measure, design and delivery service or call in to choose your kitchen/bathroom furniture and appliances if you already have plans.
